A sublimely peaceful, reflective, pleading and sincere musical offering. Bringing moments of serenity and stillness, and also a full-throated passionate cry to the heavens. At just a few minutes long, it’s a perfect addition to either a secular or religious based concert program, and is an EXCELLENT piece in the study and pursuit of balance, good intonation, chord tuning, and good sonority blending.

The instrumentation in the low flutes is flexible - ideally with at least one contrabass flute - but if you have two (or even a sub-contrabass) this music will benefit from the extra depth and richness of the lowest flutes.

4 x Concert Flutes
1 x Alto
1 (or 2) x Bass Flutes
2 (or 1) x Contrabass Flutes
1 (optional) Sub-contrabass Flute in G

The recording below was made with a click track and is certainly on the faster side - and of course the pauses between phrases can be much longer.
